By accessing the Site, creating an account, or purchasing our products, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

 Eligibility & Agreement to Terms

  • You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to purchase.
  • By using the Site, you represent that you can form a binding contract and will comply with all applicable laws.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Changes are effective when posted on the Site with the “Effective Date” above. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

Privacy & Cookies

Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy (incorporated by reference). We use cookies and similar technologies; by using the Site, you consent to their use as described in the Privacy Policy.

Accounts, Security & Communications

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of unauthorized use.
  • By providing your email/phone, you consent to receive service and transactional communications (e.g., order updates). Marketing emails/SMS are optional and require consent; you may opt out at any time. Standard messaging/data rates may apply to SMS.

Products, Availability & Information

  • We strive for accuracy, but product images, colors, materials, dimensions, and finishes may vary due to screens, lighting, and natural variation.
  • We may limit quantities, discontinue items, or change product details without notice.
  • Gifting, bundles, and promotions are subject to posted terms and may not be combined unless we state otherwise.

Pricing, Taxes & Errors

  • Prices are shown in U.S. dollars unless stated otherwise. Applicable taxes, duties, and shipping charges are calculated at checkout or imposed by customs.
  • We reserve the right to correct any pricing, typographical, or other errors, and to cancel orders placed with erroneous information (even after submission). If we cancel, we’ll refund your original payment method.

Orders, Payment & Verification

  • When you place an order, you authorize us (and our payment processors) to charge your selected payment method for the full amount (including shipping, taxes, and duties where applicable).
  • Orders are subject to acceptance and availability. We may refuse, limit, or cancel any order (e.g., suspected fraud, resale activity, inaccurate information).
  • We may require additional verification before accepting or shipping an order.

Shipping, Processing & Risk of Loss

  • Processing Time: We strive to process and ship orders within 1–2 business days. During high-volume periods, processing may extend to 3–5 business days. Processing time is separate from carrier transit estimates.
  • Delivery Estimates: Carrier timelines are estimates only. We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers, customs, weather, or events beyond our control.
  • Risk of Loss/Title: Risk of loss passes to you upon delivery of goods to the carrier. Title passes upon our receipt of full payment and shipment.

International Orders

  • You are responsible for all import duties, customs fees, taxes, and any carrier brokerage fees for international shipments. These amounts are non-refundable, including on returns.
  • Customs clearance may cause delivery delays outside our control.

Returns, Exchanges & Store Credit

We want you to love your Paroera piece. If you need help choosing before purchase, contact us—our team will guide you to the best style for your hair.

Return Window & Method

  • Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery and are issued as store credit only.
  • Items must be unused, unworn, undamaged, and in original packaging (including any protective films, pouches, and inserts).
  • For hygienic and sustainability reasons, returned items are not resold—ensuring every customer receives a new product and helping reduce waste.

Process

  • Contact us within the 14-day window for return authorization and instructions.
  • Use a trackable shipping method. You are responsible for return shipping costs.
  • We are not responsible for return packages that are lost, damaged, or not received. Please retain your tracking information.

Exclusions

  • Final-sale items, gift cards/e-gift cards, promotional or limited-edition items marked “non-returnable,” and any items not in original condition are not eligible.
  • We do not refund international duties, taxes, or fees.

Store Credit

  • Store credit is issued after inspection and does not expire where prohibited by law. Store credit is non-transferable and has no cash value.

Pre-Orders & Backorders

  • Estimated ship dates are approximate and subject to change. We may ship partial orders at our discretion. You may cancel a pre-order/backorder before shipment for a full refund unless otherwise specified.

Gift With Purchase & Promotions

  • If a return causes your order to fall below a promotion threshold, we may deduct the value of the promo or require the gift to be returned unused and in original packaging.
  • Promotions cannot be applied retroactively unless stated.

Care Guidelines & Intended Use

  • Follow the care instructions provided with your product to preserve finish and longevity (avoid moisture, perfumes, and abrasive surfaces; store properly).
  • Our products are intended for standard personal hair styling. Misuse may cause damage to hair or product; we are not responsible for damage due to misuse or improper care.

Intellectual Property & License

  • All content on the Site—designs, product names, text, images, graphics, logos, videos, software, and compilations—is owned by or licensed to Paroera and protected by IP laws.
  • You may access the Site for personal, non-commercial use only. Any reproduction, distribution, modification, reverse engineering, scraping, or derivative use is prohibited without our prior written consent.

User Content (Reviews, Photos, Social Tags)

  • If you submit reviews, photos, or tag us on social media with our brand handles/hashtags, you grant Paroera a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, publish, display, edit, adapt, and distribute your content in any media for marketing and promotional purposes, without additional notice or compensation.
  • You represent that you own or have permission to use and license that content and that it does not infringe any third-party rights or contain unlawful material.
  • We may moderate, remove, or refuse any User Content at our discretion.

Acceptable Use & Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

  • Use the Site for unlawful purposes;
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Site’s security, integrity, or performance;
  • Bypass, probe, or test system vulnerabilities;
  • Use scraping, spiders, bots, or similar tools without our prior written consent;
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation;
  • Engage in fraudulent, deceptive, or harmful conduct;
  • Use the Site to advertise or solicit (including reseller activity) without authorization.

Third-Party Services & Links

The Site may link to third-party websites, services, or tools (including payment processors and carriers) that we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to their terms.

Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Site and all products are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that defects will be corrected.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Paroera will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages; loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill; or costs of substitute goods, arising out of or related to your use of the Site or products, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
  • Our aggregate liability to you for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid to Paroera for the product(s) at issue in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers/limitations; in such cases, our liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Paroera and its officers, directors, employees, agents, affiliates, licensors, and suppliers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Site or products, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

Force Majeure

We are not liable for any failure or delay in performance due to events beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disasters, wars, terrorism, labor conditions, governmental actions, epidemics/pandemics, supply chain disruptions, or utility interruptions.

Governing Law; Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Subject to the Arbitration section below, the exclusive venue for any permitted court action will be the state or federal courts located in Maryland, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

Dispute Resolution; Arbitration; Class Action Waiver

Please read this section carefully—it affects your rights.

  • Mandatory Arbitration: Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms, the Site, or products (collectively, “Disputes”) will be resolved by binding arbitration administered by AAA under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. The seat of arbitration is Maryland, and the language is English.
  • Exceptions: You may bring an individual action in small-claims court if your claim qualifies. Either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief in court to protect intellectual property or prevent unauthorized access/use of the Site.
  • Class/Collective Waiver: Disputes will be arbitrated only on an individual basis and not as a class, collective, or representative action. The arbitrator may not consolidate claims of more than one person.
  • Opt-Out: You may opt out of arbitration within 30 days of your first purchase by sending a written notice with your name, order number, and statement to opt out to the address in Contact Us below.
  • If the class waiver is found unenforceable for a claim, then that claim must proceed in court (not arbitration).

Termination & Suspension

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (e.g., IP, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, dispute resolution) will survive termination.

Assignment

You may not assign, transfer, or sublicense your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign or transfer our rights without restriction.

Severability; Waiver; Entire Agreement

If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, it will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force. Our failure to enforce any right is not a waiver. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any posted policies (e.g., Returns, Shipping), constitute the entire agreement between you and Paroera.

Headings & Interpretation

Headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation. “Including” means “including without limitation.”

Export & Sanctions Compliance

You may not use, export, or re-export products in violation of U.S. export laws and regulations or applicable sanctions programs.
